DESCRIPTION:Move it and lose it! Come out for a community 5K fun run organized by genYP\, the Urbandale Chamber's young professional group on the new Bob Layton trail located in Western Urbandale. The 5K run takes place on Saturday\, August 2nd at 9 a.m. This timed race is a great way to begin or continue a healthy lifestyle. This community event is open to the public. All ages welcome. No strollers please.\n\n\n\n\n\nOnline registration will end at midnight on Thursday\, July 31st.  After this deadline\, registration will be taken at our Packet Pickup taking place on Friday\, August 1st (more info below) or from 7:30-8:30 am on Race Day at Des Moines Christian.\n\nCost is $25 pre-race\, $35 day of race\n\n\n\nOne unisex dri-fit T-Shirt will be included in registration to first 250 runners (if you are registered by July 28th).\n\n\n\nPlease meet at Des Moines Christian School (13007 Douglas Pkwy\, Urbandale).  The race will begin and end at this site.\n\n\n\nRace will begin at 9 am with awards ceremony following at approx. 10 am.  Prizes will be given away to top finishers!  \n\n\n\nRunners are asked to pick up their race packet prior to the event at Merle Hay Mall Food Court\, near MC Sports. Packet Pickup will be Friday\, August 1st from 12-7 pm.  Merle Hay Mall is located at the corner of Douglas and Merle Hay Road in Urbandale.
