SUMMARY:MOXIE
DESCRIPTION:MOXIE (Member Owners eXchange Information & Experience) is a group of member business Owners/Presidents who meet monthly with Greg Thompson\, ActionCoach\, to discuss issues impacting their businesses. All member Business Owners/Presidents are invited to participate. Everyone must sign a confidentiality clause.\n\n\n\nThis month's featured speaker is Kurt Pearson\, Founder of Compass Financial Services talking on Company Culture.\n\n\n\nGreat companies have minimal dysfunction\, clear objectives\, consistent leadership and a cultural fit of each team member. Culture helps retain team members. Culture is a precursor to creativity. Culture is necessary for effective marketing and sales. You would probably agree that we are all just one creative idea away from a breakout year! Top line revenue growth requires our creative best. The premise I know and believe is that time invested in "culture work" is a necessity to remain competitive. \n\n\n\nKurt's Bio:\nAfter seven years in the financial publishing field\, Kurt moved to West Des Moines in 1990 with his wife Sandra and their four children to begin his financial planning practice.\n\nThe College for Financial Planning bestowed the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER designation to Kurt in 1994\, and in 1997 Kurt was accepted into the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute.\n\nKurt is a pilgrim who enjoys long hikes in a hardwood forest\, a bonfire in the fall and a snowshoe walk on a cold winter day. In his spare time you can find Kurt doing a prairie grass burn\, hugging that special oak tree or introducing his grandchildren to the wonders of creation.
